Data curation is the work that encompasses the actions taken by researchers and curators of a research data repository or data archive in order to provide meaningful and lasting access to research data. Within the field of data curation, more than 50 data curation activities have been identified that researchers or curators can perform to make data more searchable (Findable), accessible (Accessible), interoperable (Interoperable) and reusable (Reusable) (FAIR).
